FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
General questions about visiting the clinic. For questions about a specific condition, see that condition's page.
Is acupuncture painful? +
Most patients experience very little to no discomfort. Acupuncture needles are extremely fine, much thinner than standard hypodermic injection needles. A slight, brief tingling or dull sensation is normal and indicates activation of the point. Most patients find the experience deeply relaxing.
Are the needles sterile and disposable? +
Absolutely. We maintain a strict 100% single-use policy. Every needle is pre-sterilized, sealed individually in sterile blister packaging, opened right in front of you during your session, and safely disposed of immediately after use. Needles are NEVER reused.
Is acupuncture safe? +
Yes, acupuncture is extremely safe when performed by a qualified, trained practitioner. At Sayantika Wellness Centre, Dr. Nidhi Singhal follows strict clinical hygiene guidelines to ensure a safe, comfortable treatment environment.
Can acupuncture be used alongside regular medical treatment? +
Yes. Acupuncture is an excellent complementary therapy that works harmoniously alongside conventional medical care. It is a non-surgical, drug-free approach that supports your body's natural recovery process.
How long does a session take? +
An initial consultation and treatment session usually takes around 45 to 60 minutes. Subsequent routine follow-up sessions generally last approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
How many sessions might be needed? +
The number of recommended sessions depends on whether your condition is acute or chronic, as well as your body's individual response to treatment. Recent acute issues may improve in a few sessions, while long-standing chronic conditions typically require a structured series of treatments for lasting relief.
What happens during the first visit? +
During your first appointment, Dr. Nidhi Singhal conducts a detailed assessment of your medical history, primary symptoms, lifestyle, and health goals. After understanding your condition, a personalized treatment plan is explained, followed by your initial acupuncture session in a comfortable, relaxed setting.
What should I do before / after a session? +
Before: eat a light meal 1 to 2 hours prior, wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing, and stay hydrated. After: take it easy for the rest of the day, drink plenty of water, and avoid strenuous exercise immediately afterward.
How do I contact or book? +
Through the patient enquiry form on the Contact page, by phone/WhatsApp at +91 79813 70632, or during clinic hours (Monday - Saturday, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM).
